A growing Devon-based transport planning consultancy has expanded its business and opened a second office at Sutton Harbour in the heart of Plymouth.
PCL Transport Planning Limited has opened its new office at the entrance to The Marina at Sutton Harbour, alongside the Marina’s recently launched new reception facility.
The move is part of a plan by PCL Transport, which also has an office in Exeter, to grow the business and expand into Cornwall, and the new Plymouth location will allow the company to increase its workload in the area, as well as easing commuting for staff.
The independent transport planning consultancy works across sectors both nationally and internationally, dealing with transport-related problems covering a range of projects including residential, urban regeneration, industrial, commercial, retail, leisure, airports and educational developments.
Martin Brady, Managing Director at PCL Transport, said: “We are delighted to be expanding the business by opening a new office at Sutton Harbour, which is a vibrant quayside in Plymouth with so much going on.
“Our Exeter office will remain our main base, but expanding into Plymouth allows us to grow our business in the city, whilst also acting as a good stepping stone to Cornwall where we have seen business significantly pick up in the last 12 to 18 months.”
The new PCL Transport office is located at the Marina jetty on the corner of Sutton Wharf and Vauxhall Quay, just past the new reception.
Paul James, Asset Manager at Sutton Harbour Holdings plc, said: “We are delighted to welcome PCL Transport to Sutton Harbour as the company looks to expand the business into the city of Plymouth and beyond. With the new marina reception facilities now launched at the front of the jetty, the office space alongside it’s a good fit for this successful business as it continues to grow, and needs a prime location in the centre of city for their second base.”
